Sanctuary Appointments

Sanctuary Appointments: Coordinated Furnishings for the Altar

Sanctuary appointments are the pieces that dress the altar and the space around it, and they look best when they are designed to match. This collection gathers what a parish needs to furnish or refresh its sanctuary: tabernacles and tabernacle stands, altar and processional crucifixes, altar candlesticks and candelabra, hanging, wall-mount, altar and floor sanctuary lamps, altar and sanctuary bells, censers, missal stands, Paschal candle stands, and Book of the Gospels covers.

Many pieces come in coordinated series, such as Regal's 6225, 9940 and 9942 designs, so candlesticks, crucifix, sanctuary lamp and processional cross share the same profile and finish. PEP Industries, Koley's, Excelsis Progressive Bronze and Alviti Creations add metalware options, and hand-carved crucifixes and corpus figures come from PEMA Carvings and Ferdinand Stuflesser 1875.

For the sanctuary itself, choose Woerner altars, celebrant and side chairs, credence tables and hymn boards, plus Roman Missals from Catholic Book Publishing. For Advent, choose table-top, adjustable and floor-standing wreaths from Regal and Koley's; Koley's K556 doubles as a Paschal candle stand for Easter.

You'll also find the consumables that keep the sanctuary lit, including 7-, 8- and 14-day sanctuary candles and 51% beeswax altar candles from Cathedral Candle Company, along with Alviti cruets and cruet sets.
