Protected From Cross-Contact

These hosts are baked in a dedicated bakery that uses positive air pressure to keep the room free of contaminants. The equipment is used only for low-gluten baking and never for regular altar bread. Each host is individually wrapped, so it stays protected in shipping and in storage until the moment it's used.

Tips for Parishes

Many parishes keep low-gluten hosts in a separate, clearly marked pyx and consecrate them in their own vessel, so they never touch regular hosts. Communicants who need them often let the priest or sacristan know before Mass.

Low-Gluten vs. Gluten-Free

Catholic Mass requires hosts that contain some wheat gluten, and these low-gluten hosts meet that requirement. Our completely gluten-free hosts do not, and they are intended for denominations that permit them.
